Really interesting perspective for a poem. There's a lot of poems on this subject on fictionpress but the point of view of this one made it refreshing. (Also I hope this is not written from experience but I'm not here to preach...) Nice job :)

An interesting, tactful take on cutting (I think). You seem to be alluding to a creator, which I've never heard in this context before, but that makes so much sense. When one mutilates themselves, they create the scars, they love them, they create evolving, temporary things that are almost like small life forms. Also, a contrast between the physical scars, which fade in time, and the mental scars which are far more stubborn, makes for a beautiful end. Note that I am not condoning self-mutilation in any form.
