Heh, a fair word of warning indeed! Human emotions are so silly and bring about so many unnecessary problems. I guess that's another give and take situation, though. As would be expected, you captured the roller-coaster ride of uncertainty and self-loathing well. Your ability to examine yourself in such ways has always impressed me. If I could do the same for myself, I feel like I'd be leaps ahead. XD

My own little tip for others: Learn how to guard that part of you which is deepest.

1) your ' beloved' will break up/ dump / cheat on you .

2) the more 'optimistic' outcome which is one will marry him/her ... till death do them apart .
