I love this. It's so true. We're always in a hurry, always in that fast lane, trying to make it to wherever we want to be. The pursuit of happiness is a joke. We should look for happiness within ourselves, not elsewhere. This poem hits hard.

The second stanza is my favorite. I also like "You're all broken like ragdolls, hair wind-tossed." Nice wording!

Good point-people do rush through their lives. I liked your poem, especially the vivid imagery you used in relation to the roses. Nice job.
