This certainly is an interesting start to a story. The imagery was well done, and the introduction of Elise was nice. I wonder why she burned down her own village. What secret was she hiding? And what did the chief mean when he said it wasn't her fault? What does he know? This is all very interesting. Now I wonder what she plans to do with the two kids.
