This really hits home. I had to say goodbye to a good friend recently. Getting back on your feet is harder than it seems. I guess you don't realize just how important it is to have a best friend until they change and aren't around anymore. Lovely poem. I loved the flow and rhythm and that you kept all the letters lowercase. 3

I do wish you'd capitalized properly, but other than that minor annoyance I enjoyed this; it's got a melancholic, sad air to it that works well with the subject content.
