So what/where is Vervusius? I found Vesuvius, Virgina and Mt. Vesuvius, near Naples, but no Versusius.

Nice piece of writing. I liked the way you play with language rhythm, especially in the first half of the text. I found it easy to relate to the narrator and the situation reading this, could see the volcano-eruption right in front of my eyes!
