*raises hand sheepishly* I just have to say, the only reason I'm reading this story is because I like the name Kylie. And it's good to see a Kylie who doesn't have it all together. So, um, nice prologue. It's enlightening, and although the second sentence of author's note is kinda redundant ('cause you just did set the mood and introduce the main character, we were there) it's very well-written. Okay, um, going to keep reading. Thank you!

The mood is set perfectly. When you read it you can actually feel the distance in how she felt. Plus the fact that you haven't delved into her truamatic experience creates suspense, I can't wait to read the next chapter : ) x
