Ahaha! I remember this! I still can't believe you were actually convinced! This is actually my favourite memory of us xP

I seriously didn't read the summary and I just clicked on the story, thinking that the person in the story will actually transform into a mermaid...Until I read the author's note at the end XD
Anyways, it was really well written! I can actually relate because I remember believing in everything people said to me when I was younger. And Ai-chan reminds me of one of my best friends as well but Ai-chan seems more mean.
