Oh well, I'll settle for being second to review this awesome tale; coz it is awesome! I like the setting and having a duo of protagonist can be entertaining... certainly something I haven't seen in your stories yet ;)
The chapter was a bit "simple" by your standards, but as an intro it worked nicely.
Can't wait to see what, other adventures Virgil and Erdic will go on, so keep updating!

So far it's good - I like the premise and it does seem original (reminds me a tad of "Toriko"). Virgil and Erdic seems like a cool team (although I like Virgil more at this point) and I can't wait to read about their further adventures, so keep on going!
