I liked the mystery in your story, the poems and riddles. The entire story left me feeling...I'm not quite sure how to describe it, but slightly incomplete. I can't help wishing that I knew why James made the pact.

Your style is good, although I think that you could have added a little bit more description and detail. There are quite a few typos/spelling mistakes, and occasional grammar errors/places where words are left out, such as "he analyzed carefully" which should read, "he analyzed it carefully." Proof-reading or getting someone else to look at your work will solve this , a thesaurus may come in handy as you've over-used some words.
