I really love this, and it's very beautifully written. I love that you've shared your own love story, I'm so guilty of doing that (Darksun)! Glad to see I'm not the only one. I know exactly how you feel, as my first love and I got into a fight recently because of a friend. He's told me we need to 'stop talking' for a while, and move on. He just doesn't think after everything he's done to me, he deserves to be with me. Which is really sweet but sad as his best-friend has liked me for quite a while. I know what first love is like, and he was two years my senior. I live in Australia though, and I think it's a little more acceptable here than in America. My parents don't approve of my love for him as he has treated me badly in the past, and I can't seem to move on. Moving on is difficult, and almost impossible. I believe you never forget your first love. I didn't believe in teenage love until I met him three years ago, and now it hurts more than ever.

For me I don't believe in 'love' but it's not that I don't care exactly, it's that romance is disgusting (in my opinion) and the stupid break-ups and make-ups make me facepalm. There are some guys and girls that just beat themselves down for other people and that makes me sick.
I believe in strong friendships. So I guess the version of love I believe in is one where you trust the person, can be yourselves with them and hell, if it doesn't work out you'll still be friends because else that would suck, right?
Sorry, this just made me want to review with my own thoughts on 'love'.
