Strange man lol What threw me off was that he was talking in broken English before, and now, he talks as if he's a wise man. Can't wait to see where Rich will find himself in next!

Couple comments:
"Painfully Richard sat up as his…" Could be, -Painfully, Richard sat up as his…- or -Richard painfully sat up as his…-
and
"Richard stood up and brushed the sand off of him about as well as anyone could rid" I know what you're trying to say but if you say it aloud, it sounds a bit off.

It's a great little thing to read when your bored alone at your house with not one. Ha. but i'm not really into it alot cause it's not my thing.

Kudos! Just brilliance! Now, I'm not usually a fan of one-shots or short stories, but this was really good! And I liked the use of the poem in the beginning...

Just absolute lovliness! And I really like the message in the end.

The cliff hanger was nicely put too...
