Reviews for Daddy, I'm Not Perfect
ShadowRoseBlack 8/12/12 . chapter 1
Wonderful poem but I'm sorry you're feeling this way. I've had to deal with similar problems and it's never easy. I had to sit down and talk to my parent about how the things they would say hurt me even if they didn't mean it. Now that parent tries very hard to reword any criticism about my appearence or work so that they won't hurt me again. Keep up the good work though! I look forward to more of your work!

Wow. I feel for you. I know what this is like. It's as if they dont understand that we are trying are best. They dont understand that emotional pain is worse than physical, and that what they say, wheather they mean it or not, hurts. the worst of it, they do think that they know EVERYTHING your thinking, but they dont understand. they're not even close. I'm really sorry you feel this way, it hurts knowing that your hurt. But just remember that he doesnt mean it. Like you said, he just wants you to be your best becuase he loves you. Try to look past the words and find the meaning.

I think that parents forget how much it hurts. A wonderful poem, I especially liked how you dealt with the confusion of still loving your dad even though the words hurt you so badly.
