Phillip is an idiot. Give the poor girl to the doctor! Of course, I know that you won't.

Phillip seems a little confused. Exactly what does the boy want (okay, setting aside the physical enticements)? Does he think that Penny will want him after he has killed her brother?

Uh oh, we have another contender. Phillip better wake up and smell the secret Scottish herb formula.

What a mess. It would have made a great scene, however.

I am very curious about how Jack fits into this picture.

All of these people who now think that the Duke is married, especially Charlotte, who is a lady, will have some serious questions now. Then again, maybe the Phillip will have the good sense to solemnify their status.

Then again, neither life nor fiction is ever that easy.

Somehow I doubt that the man is asleep... or that he fell asleep so easily. I suspect that it will be a long night for both of them. He is actually being a true gentleman. Is this a case of beauty taming the beast?

The scenes in this chapter would work well on the big screen, or on a BBC version of your story. You are an excellent writer.

His reaction is very interesting. Has he been thinking about Henry's words? Is he intending to break off his engagement?
