Calcium channel blocker? For one i am not convinced that they were around in the time frame you set the story in but I think most importantly they are used to treat heart conditions like angina, HBP, Reynaud's Syndrome. Check the medical terms if you are going to use them.

And I also doubt the phrase "shove it" was used back then.

this is cool i really like where this is going, but i have one question. how old is frankie? other than that little confusion, i can't wait to read the next chapter and to see how the town starts to like her as a doctor ;)
