Reviews for Not One But Both of Us
Marla's Found 9/2/12 . chapter 1
"...They had spent years talking to each other and finding out things, and in that time they had also mastered what they liked to call a companionable silence. ****it can take years for any couple to achieve that wonderful thing called companionable silence - great line - I liked it.

***I liked the visual picture you painted here: "... His glasses had kept slipping off the bridge of his nose like they always did, and every a few seconds he would restlessly flick his head trying to keep his bangs out of his eyes.***Good attention to detail and it gave some clues to his personality. Liked that too!

"...But everything at that moment was still a concept, still just an idea. She wasn't ready to start acting on it yet, and even at that moment she wasn't entirely ready to believe it herself****This was wonderful and it felt like I read a longer story than I really did. Good work on fleshing out characters that had no names. I liked the whole story. Good job!

The first thing I would like to say is that your story is beautifully written and heartfelt.

This is what really stood out for me...

"There was no conversation between the two of them at the moment, which wasn't uncommon. They had spent years talking to each other and finding out things, and in that time they had also mastered what they liked to call a companionable silence."...

That is so true. There is a line between a couple who can't find the words to say to each other and a couple where words are not necessary.
A couple can sit in total silence. He watching a ball game and her reading a cook book or a romance novel and nary a word need to be spoke..That is Love.

My only criticism is that some of your sentences were a bit clumsy, but again that is most likely my personal taste

An excellent well written story. I am glad i took the time to read it
