This poem addresses a problem that is at the root of most of the problems in the world! Being deaf to what people don't want to hear happens to persons and nations. Perceptive poem!

True! I don't often tell people the things they want to hear, so I'm a favorite amongst teachers (heck, I correct my English teacher's errors on her tests and whatnot). And, people only listen to me if I say something nice or something they can copy. They ignore me when I don't. Some people are so stupid.
