Legkicker 11/18/12 . chapter 1News flash to any authors complaining about punctuation "missing": POEMS DON'T REQUIRE PUNCTUATION. Since the two complaining reviewers are attempting to sound like experts, perhaps they should do some research. Although not the most credible source, I'd take this over two amateur writers (yes, amateurs, we all are on this site). "Punctuation, especially in free verse poetry, does not have to follow the rules of convention. If creating an abstract poem, try experimenting with different forms of punctuation." I'd site the source but FictionPress would not allow it. Goggle it, make sure to use a period on your search though. Other than focusing on a "missing" comma or period, the poem is great. It delivers questions as to "who is leaving," and "Is it hypothetical or not?" A feeling of emptiness and loneliness come from the message being conveyed. Great job! - Legkicker (Any PM replies or attempts to retaliate against this review will only results in a block - scary huh?) |
