First, with the summary, a short story written in poetic verse is called a narrative.

Man oh man, I hate second-person. It doesn't usually get pulled off right, even by the most masterful writers. There's no variety to be had when all that can be said is "you." So usually I hate it...
But not here. You actually did it pretty well.

What you didn't:
"Causing you to look up and begin to (PLEAD)."
"Lifting his scythe to (HIS) shoulder, as he basked"
There also that weird capitalization.
Fix that. I want to be able to call this good poetry.

That's some brutal poetry, man.

Some brutal amount of mistakes, too:
"Your broken soul had cried out to the mortals that were damn(ed)."
"Only to have their screams be heard as (THEY'RE) torn limb by limb,"

Very different and almost sorrowful. It almost makes me feel bad for Lived. Very interesting. I like it.
