In my mind, I get this lady sitting on the porch looking up at the sky. At first, tears of saddness fill her eyes as she remeber, but then quickly goes into happiness when she thinks about the good times.
It's VERY sad, nearly made me cry, also very well written!

Short and sweet. Really nice. Seems very sad, and I love the re-use of the paragraph endings. A really nice read :)

It's a sad story, but it doesn't make sense to me. Dogs live about 14 years, take or give a few, and you say the good die young. Apparently, the person died young. Your main character is old.
