This makes me think.

It's got to be so difficult when no one really understands what you went through. Most people (especially teens, who have seen so little of the world they hardly understand it) look at rape victims, abused wives, etc. and all they see is 'this person was being hurt. why didn't they make it stop?' because that's the natural instinct. They fail to understand that there are so many other factors in play, and that when you're in a relationship with someone you do care about him because they're not a stranger and you've seen them at their best too.
