I dunno if it's because it's been a few weeks since the last time I read this, but I really liked your battle scene this chapter. The action was intense and hard-hitting. Keep up the good work.

That mummy guy is forking scary. I'd hate to encounter him in a dark alleyway at any time of day. I also like your image of magic. Instead of it being a novelty (like Wong's version) you've made it into an integral part of life and war. I'm also glad you made it into a potential for discrimination. If magic existed in real life and only a few people could effectively use it, I'd imagine it would make a lot of fuss.

My previous criticisms still apply. You also have a lot of spelling errors as well.

Whoa. Well now we know. Do not. Tick off. AUZ! No wonder Aven was so scared of him. I kind of thought the perfectly reasonable request from the one pirate did not deserved to be so harshly turned down, especially since it was coupled with (and somewhat compared to) something as trivial as supplies.

An interesting chapter, though I hoped that the whole ordeal would have been handled more honorably, but since the whole second fight and pirates kind of made that impossible.

And now I don't like him anymore. Dude was a beast.

I sense a developing plotline around Bandages. Looks like he's gonna be crucial for the story. He might know something about the circumstances that the others don't.

The random bits of humor interjected throughout each chapter are neat.
