Tubachoir 3/18/13 . chapter 3Pocket reference! The most condensed source of useless information in the known world! I had lost my copy and was looking for a new one at a bookstore. The clerk brightened up and said "you could rebuild the world with that book" |
nadia 2/15/13 . chapter 6 Wonderful character development in this chapter. |
LaLlamaQueLlama 2/14/13 . chapter 10You didn't find Mayborne in any of Kipling's books. I really cracked up laughing when he showed up :) I believe I can give some help with proofreading if you're interested. As to whether I'm actually good or not you'll have to decide for yourself. |
Ashe Henderson 1/30/13 . chapter 10Confession. I've been hovering around for a while now, reading your stories and not commenting. Sorry. It's rude. Honestly, though, I have no criticisms to make. The characters are engaging and interesting. The situation is frequently amusing, especially with the Delorean, and I find your characterization of "the best and brightest" to be interesting. I find that view of the world rather refreshing. It's so much better than thinking I'm stupid because I don't have that all-important paper. But enough with the maudlin thoughts on my personal life. Moving on... If anything, I hope to see more internal struggles than fights against the Varnen. Differences between the Fnfians and humans. Part of me hopes there will be something with the tinfoil hat brigade finding out about the aliens and freaking out, and another realizes that may complicate things too much. The main bit is humans working with aliens, not trying to fight a two front war to defend their new allies. Yes, it would be a bit of a let down if there was no final confrontation between the combined forces of humans and Fnfian and the Varnen. However, I'm enjoying seeing the preparations for such. The bit about the Mannschenn Drive creating the Varnen is interesting. The pace and tone of this story reminds me a little of John Ringo's Looking Glass series. As a side note, do you have any suggested reading for learning more about the real-world science in this story? I'm keeping up, but I'd like to learn more. Any way, I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter. Ashe |

williamboyd1978 1/25/13 . chapter 9I'm just waiting on an enterprising young set of geeks to come up with a way to manipulate the human genetic code. Vulcans, Romulans, Elves, Dragon born, etc... I can can almost see a boarding party led by Darth Vader and a Klingon warrior. |
wmlm1947 1/20/13 . chapter 9I am new on this site but am enjoying the story thread. I don't worry about typo's or some of the other grammer problems in the stories but I do notice 'curves' in the storyline. Keep up the good work and please let me know how often you post so I can watch for the next chapters. Bill Meadows |
Nadia 12/29/12 . chapter 5 I love the inspiration to Stargate reference. Do they really have a kid named Grace? |
Jim A 12/25/12 . chapter 9 Another great chapter and if you would like an extra proof reader to help catch the minor grammar item, would be glad to help. Might even recruit my daughter, Grace, who is the one that pointed me to your writing. |
Jim A 12/25/12 . chapter 8 Not sure who is challenging you authenticity and portrayals of the senior leaders and military politics, but they clearly don't have a clue and your will written stories and great characterizations show that you real have been there and done that. Keep up the great writing! |
Jim A 12/24/12 . chapter 7 Not too violent, and very well done. |
Jim A 12/24/12 . chapter 5 Forget the reactor, I would rather have the truck! Well written and the characters and their respective behaviors are all too believable! Both the good and the bad aspects! Keep it up! Please! |
Jim A 12/24/12 . chapter 4 The technical aspect all logically work and the story line still moves along nicely. Great work dealing with some technically challenging concepts in a way that are still 'fun' to read! Keep it up! |
Debate4life 12/21/12 . chapter 8Good as always. I always very much enjoy your updates. I like the Star Trek and Back to the Future references. Looking forward to reading more. |
