I guess there are few options, smile and move forward seems like the most functional one. However, I rarely chose that one myself. Although, I don't choose the fate of the blade- too much of a narcissist for that one, I just call people out on their BS.

Survival of the fittest comes to mind. Don't let those demons get the best of you because you definitely deserve more than them.
