This is super delicate, kind of curiously afraid but wanting all the same. I really like the phrase "purple halo" for some reason! It's very pretty but bruises are supposed to be ugly, and the clashing of imagery is awesome.

I think I know what this is actually talking about,but I keep thinking of this person being a darkness or a killer instead of a savior. Like drugs with an addict or a cut to the skin to make the pain go away, something with a grim outlook and a sad tale.
