I. Love. This. Poem.
The imagery is so rich, I love the idea and it reminds me of the moment in Jane Eyre when Mr Rochester talks about trying to get to Jane's soul: "and it is you, spirit...that I want: not alone your brittle frame."
It also ends very well, it's really relatable.

Very well written. I love this. The rhyme scheme you used worked perfectly, the pace was perfect as well. All in all this is one of the better poems I've read on this site.
