Ohh, okay, the bender-human thing all solved then.

And... KISS! Yay! I love endings with kisses! Rayne is so cute! Didn't expect him to be that forward at the end there, haha. This other side of him is surprising, a contrast to the shy, blushing side.

Picked up some small things this time:
-"it's all forgiven him based solely on those words of his" not sure if it sounds better without the 'him'
-"disbelief writ large on her face" I think it's 'written'.

Great ending for Cray and Rayne, really sweet! But I feel so sad for Brook. Sniff. At least let's hope he has a happy life with Eryk while it lasts.

Sigh. It's so sad. I liked him. I wanted a happy ending for him, not this bittersweet one. Sigh.

Anyway, awesome story! Write a third part! Brook should be in it (looks like Cray and Rayne's story is pretty finished. Well, there's his dad, but it's still pretty finished.) I'd definitely read a third part. It's been truly awesome following this story, even if I took some time to catch up (sorry). Happy writing :)

I really like this chapter, for two reasons:
- First, everything is explained, and it makes complete sense! All the events that have happened until now, all the hints you've been giving us finally come together. Expectation has been building for a long time, and this ending (near-ending) is really satisfying. In a lot of stories the ending disappoints, but yours is awesome. It doesn't let down at all.
- Secondly, I like the new things we're learning about the Bender world. I really, really want to see a third part. I mean, with the soul-eaters and half-benders and love stories you have raised lots of questions! And there are also the powers and the muses from I don't break the rules - I mean, you have a lot of material! Plus there's Rayne's father and his disappearance. Please make a third part?

On the other hand, I don't understand why it is such a big deal if Benders are human or not. I mean, you've shown that they don't differ from humans that much. Obviously they think like humans and feel like humans (the chapters from Rayne's POV clearly show that he has pretty humanlike thoughts and feelings) and are pretty much exactly like humans apart from the whole powers thing. They can fall in love with humans and they can have children with humans, so what's the problem? Why is Rayne so anxious about being "human"? If there was a substantial difference between both species - I'll go ahead and call them species - then I would understand, but as it is, his panic, at least to me, makes completely no sense. Cray doesn't seem to care either.

Maybe it's because he's scared, as always? I don't know.

Apart from that, awesome chapter. Onto the last one then :)

Whoa! BROOK IS BACK! Yes! AWESOME! I MISSED HIM! I can't believe it! I wonder what he's gonna do.

Oh well, at least he didn't disappoint. Haylden was definitely the most interesting and epic character in this story. I'm glad he went in a noble way. I just wish we could have known him better sooner...

And Rayne... Sucks that he doesn't truly forgive him at the end. But then again, he never liked him. The contrast between his indifference at Haylden's death and his concern for Cresta shows his feelings exactly. And being jealous of a dead man? He's hopeless.

All in all, the scene is great. I was hoping for a "take care of her" moment from dying Haylden to Rayne, but it was nice this way, with him thinking about Cresta at the end. A cool end to a cool character. Though I'm sad we won't be seeing him again.

Why doesn't it surprise me that Cray confessed first? Har har... Rayne is such a coward for some things.

LOVED this chapter. Absolutely awesome. Both Cray and Rayne's emotions are portrayed so well. Although I had a bit of difficulty figuring out their position in the tree, like whether they were lying down besides each other, on their sides, or sitting.

Hm...I remember a couple mentions of some people named Eryk and Brook from one of your stories...possibly from earlier in this one? Or from a different one...Oh! I got it! They're from "I don't break the rules" right?

The feeelsss! I like this chapter because it's solid. It has plot movement, character development, and (as you know I love) Rayne and Cray romantical stuffs. Well done. The chapter's size is also commendable, as you said. Enjoyable and exciting, this chapter has to be my second favorite so far. Though...I've much forgotten what they look like, if that's weird.

My very first kokuhaku scene! And of course it just CAN'T go well cos my plots never go in one direction for very long. Hope it was acceptable and reasonably entertaining for all!
