Nicely written, but I'm not sure I like it. I'm leaving this on a confused note which isn't exactly pleasant. Still, great job with the suspense and the creepiness!

The end was totally unexpected and kind of scary, but very unusual. I would have liked an explanation, but it can be a good thing that the readers can have their own ideas about what happens. I would like to know what exactly happens to Eric though. If I was him, I would run away as fast as I could.

I really liked the end. I started reading like 'Meh, simple crush on best friend story', but the tension kept on rising and the forest part had me hooked until the end. I do think it's a pity you didn't clarify anything. Having read 2000 words, I was expecting a bit more of an explanation. But whatever, you managed to make this surprising and cool.

I enjoyed reading this, but I'm not sure about the end, though... it was really unexpected, and I don't quite understand it. Is he going to sacrifice Eric or something like that? And why is Eric's mom there?
Anyway, I like your writing style, so good job :) even if I had wished for another ending maybe.
