I may not be American but I know a thing or two, and I also know that this poem is fantastic. It's sharp and clear as the smack of a paddle on a ping pong ball. Also it reminds me a bit of 'we didn't start the fire'. The flow of it. Great work, instant fav :D

It's really simple and yet really powerful. I really like it, but I think you could have used the word female for the line with cat if you used the word male for dog. Just a suggestion.
