Well, this is only the beginning, but... hmm... Mary is gonna get character development, yes? Or... maybe... not...?
She's kinda annoying... not that stories don't have those kind of characters, just... I'm sort of wondering which spot Mary is filling. Unlucky childhood friend, prolly. :D Sorry, sorry. The story is great, and I'm sorry I took so long in reviewing it.

Okay... there's not much more I can say at this point, except that it's good. Looks like Levi's personality is plenty molded by his family standing. I kinda feel bad for Mary - poor thing.

To be honest, she kinda reminded me of the hero's female-friend-who-always-argues-with-hero's-sideki ck type of character. This is of course in the case, the female friend doesn't argue with the hero himself.

Err, this isn't a bad thing or anything. Well, they're children - naturally they'll grow and exhibit major character development which only age can provide. Plus, maybe her arguing with Levi's spirit could be one of those things that never change - kind of like a not-so-proper familiar thing you get used to.

Right. Introduction to the characters, bit of humor... The pacing is nice to. I'm starting to see bits and pieces of the picture. Just small bits - but it's good.

I'll be waiting to see how this turns out. Levi sounds... ah, he has his share of being a bit... what's the word? Arrogant? Too strong, maybe... Stuck up?
The Levi in your letters sounds like an entirely different man altogether. But time changes people. I accept Alice's words of wisdom.
Anyhow, I highly doubt I was meant to be an editor. I'll try and point out if I feel anything too out of place, but I highly doubt that would happen, since this is well written.

Levi and his chain of memories is interesting and I would like to know more about them in the chapters to come. I would like to see what happens next so just keep writing and update soon :)
