I can only ask a few things here. When Calu walks home after waiting. gimme more depth at play. He passed the stores, the neighbors house, sneaking back into the house. Can he feel he was being watch (Not to obvious though)? A cat following him? Unexplained noises that could be raccoons?

Then for the new, kid that went in there to hide, Start fresh, give hi a name so we can better distinguish the two boys.
