Miggles 2/25/13 . chapter 1I liked this chapter - you have a distinctive way of writing. :) I do think the character sounds a little like Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean. Otherwise, I think it's original and interesting. I spotted a few errors, and I've only pointed them out becasue I'm confused by your meaning; 'people never tend to exist again' - just confusing - try 'tended to disappear' or 'were never seen again' 'I walk throughout the town' - I think you mean 'through' 'I take a drought' - 'draught' 'So, what brings the infamous Captain Brunilda doin' around these parts' - either 'What brings' or 'What's Captain Brunilda doin'' 'Why do they do that for, they must be drunk?' - again, it's like two ideas mashed up together; either 'Why do they do that?'' or 'What do they do that for?' I also suggest separating the idea of them being drunk from the rest, as it looks confusing with a question mark at the end. 'at whatever cause' - I think you mean 'cost' 'and it's going to all mine' - I tink you just missed out the 'be' I know I sound really critical, but actually I really liked reading this and I hope you update it soon! :D |
Paige Terner 1/22/13 . chapter 1:D It could be Captain Sarah Brunilda! By the way, sixth para, 5th sentence, the beginning doesn't make sense. |
Clear World 1/21/13 . chapter 1why is this pirate liked? I thought pirates steal and kill people so why is the 'infamous' Captain Brunild treated like she's just some star. I would have expected people to be scared of someone like a pirate. The main character seems to hold her hold well but has a touch of softness that I want to see unfold. I will definitely read more. Actually, the whole City of Atlantis thing kind of bubs me out but I'll look past that and see what is in store next. Wait, why she a pirate is she's just searching for the city of Atlantis. That doesn't sound like a pirate... unless the world of the story, a pirate is just someone who sails the sea, which in case, isn't actually a pirate. Overall, how people are reacting to her seems extremely weird, Captain Brunild has so much room to be a great character, and there's it was a nice opening. |
