Wow. I would feel used, too. Sometimes I feel like men are incapable of comprehending what women want, even if we straight out tell them. And this guy sounds like he was definitely giving you mixed messages. "You're amazing and I don't want to hurt you," but, "I can't stop thinking about my ex." I would be confused, too.
