I like this idea, but one comment: the summer camp combined with Greek/Roman gods reminds me of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.

I'm very intrigued as to how this going to go. Mostly I feel like I actually have to pay attention because of the informality of your writing. It makes it seem like you're telling the story directly to the reader, I like that.
