Mylilblackpen 3/6/13 . chapter 1
This is a brilliant piece, very emotive and certainly packs a punch to it. I think the imagery is very clever and interesting, seems very Shakespearian almost; there are lines in there that remind me of some of Shakespeare's work - for example "pound of flesh" reminds me The Merchant of Venice. Very cleverly written because it gets you thinking about the cost of all this fighting. A great piece!
Eleantris 3/4/13 . chapter 1
This is so fantastically written. You handle the subject so sensitively, and embed so much emotion into the lines. I love the last three lines especially, and the way you've staggered them so they have more of an effect. :)

A haunting reminder of war and the grief and hardship that continues even after conflict has ended.

Oh god, I love this. For some reasons, "Angry men making angry blood" reminds me of a line from Romeo and Juliet which goes like: "Civil blood makes civil hands unclean." This poem has a great flow and rhythm and I loved the words that you chose. I haven't read much poems about war and this is one of the few that I've read. I absolutely love it.

This is beautiful. There is no other word for it. I love the vocabulary, the imagery - especially the last 5 lines. Awesome job!
