I really like this. It shows a different view on the way this world is. the way you have put this is all very true.

Like the concept; I like the poem.

Amazing. The one line that was really awkward was "To the hearts' calls." It's all right, but it kind of doesn't fit with the rest of the poem. Other than that, another great poem. You've inspired me, and hey, maybe I'll post here too.

how 'bout "you do care" on the a separate line of that 1st stanza? "you see your face" on a separate line. and reflecting the "me" lines on you. "You see you, you, and you." Just my little comments (bet you're ready to kill me now, hmm?) Definitely good poem. It's a well-trodden path but your poem expands it so that it's not the usual, "You're so vain, you probably think this poem is about you," (LoL. Mutilated Carly Simon song) Be proud, be very proud (but don't be a marine. :-)) Very cool- why was this for a history class though?

The way you’ve repeated the verses makes it seem more like a song. I was actually singing it in my head to a couple of tunes. I like the concept I think I understood it - we don’t see what’s really going on. We only see what is reflected back to us, like reading someone else’s opinion and basing ours on it. Just because someone sees themself in everything, doesn’t mean everything revolves around them. Loved the explantion of your pen-name.
