that is an excellent poem. every verse is well written and emotional, and the final stanza "the pain i went through was for you/the tears i had shed were for me" is revealing and piercing and captures the emotion and claims it beautifully.

i was skeptical as to whether i wanted to read this-there are so many badly written soppy poems out there-but from the first line of yours i knew that this wasn't one of them. this poem takes you through a story. you don't just feel one emotion, you feel it all. you have expressed yourself so well that i felt all the pain you went through, and i felt as if it was I in your shoes. i love your ending to this poem- 'I realize that the pain i went through was for you/And the tears i had shed were for me.' this is a powerful ending to a powerful poem! thank you!
