I love Alamo history! It's nice to find someone who shares the interest. The story is promising so far, but I think it might need something to "ground" it a little bit. Maybe you could use one of the major events of the siege as a sort of focal point for the story and wrap William's personal tale around it? It might help explain *why* freedom is important enough for him to die for. Just a thought... :-)
