You know, I thought at one time that there really was no such thing as "sorry." By that I mean that people do exactly what they want to do when they want to do it and there's not a thing in the world anyone can do to stop someone from behaving in a certain way or hurting someone if that person is set on doing it. I'm not so sure about that anymore because I'm sorry about things I may have had control over that I could have changed almost every single day. I guess that's what "sorry" is really for. Not just an empty mouthful of words but a balm for the soul.
