Wow, I liked it, so of course I am expecting more soon... *wink, wink, nudge, nudge* (though I do realize that you haven't posted a new chapter since 2002, I still hope that you will take the time to finish this story).
The only thing that bothered me was that the scarab beetles sounded just like the ones in The Mummy. Perhaps you should change that.

i really like cre'ha, she's a very determined character, how old is she? i must have missed it, but she acts pretty maturely. um a few suggestions, firstly the whole finding a stallion that could jump that high is a little too lucky, and it happened a little too fast. secondly, was cre'ha planning on killing the evil new king, because committing murder is a bit much for a young (i'm assuming) girl to set her mind to without any guilt. overall though the plot is really good, and i like the second chapter taking a look at the past, it's a really unique way of writing the plot out
