Andrew Joshua Talon 2002-06-26 . chapter 1Leeman-kun, my friend, you have summed up what the greatest of fanfiction writers feel. THe greatest of fan writers does more than like a show or anime or something of that nature: We feel the story, know and love the characters. It is sad that those we love exist on a plane other than ours, for this Universe is too vast for such things to be impossible. And it can hurt deeply, to know that we can never see them or meet them, wherever they exist in thi Universe of ours.
Still, you are right. All we can hope for is to live up to the ideals of the ones we love elsewhere to those who love us here. That is the best thing we can do. Hey, if anyone thinks that you have a problem, ** them. They don't understand what we do, you see. THey don't understand that love transcends all barriers, even those that seem impossible. Who knows what our lives will hold in the future? Perhaps you will get to be Tsunami's knight, or myself Relena's guardian or Belldandy's friend. Or Tori Yuki Ichimura's dreams, and Taro MD's, and hundreds of others. Maybe, one day. But, until that happens, we must live the ideals of those we love, and that is the greatest gift to the Universe. THank you for writing this. |
Drenden Shirotu 2001-11-26 . chapter 1I can't say I haven't felt this way myself, though my attractions were stronger when I was younger (I had such a crush on Sasami when I first saw Tenchi at age 12, and still find myself longing for Mihoshi and Deedlit at age 16 now). I know what you mean, but there really isn't anything we can do about it. It's nice to see someone speaking up for all the lonely otaku though. :) |
