I adore this poem. You have a natural rhyme scheme, not too forced at all.

I really like this! It's got some really good imagery, the rhyme is perfect, it has a sort of moral/point without being in any way trite or cheesy. Nice one!

This is a really good piece of poetry. I like the simplicity of the words, the short lines and the almost singsong repetition of some parts. Perfectly rhymed, not awkward at all, and kudos for that because not many can make rhyming poetry not awkward. Also a novel, beautiful image, stunningly conveyed.
The rhythm does get a little awkward in places, and the line breaks - for some reason I can't get "And held back from/The lust to burn" to meter out properly to say it. Otherwise, though, a really great poem.

ANYWAY it's a really great poem and of course it has special significance to me :) Do you ever get bored of me telling you how good a writer you are? This one flows so well.. no forced rhyming or anything and the whole thing is just beautiful. Love it!

I took a leave of absence myself, cause I couldn't think of anything to write about, and so I have not been satisfied with hardly any of my "work" lately.
