What a wonderful sentiment, Jessi! I like that you chose such a simple symbol to convey such a philosophical statement. Have you read any Emily Dickenson? I think you might like her...she uses a lot of simple, even mundane images to illustrate ideas about life, death, eternity and love. I think you have a similar outlook.... Keep up the poetry!
