I like this one, the cadence is fairly regular, if a bit varied between stanzas. There's some good imagry and you paint a nice historical setting, I'm guessing WWII or WWI. Excelent word choice, by the way. I like it.

This is really good. I especially liked the repetition in the last line of each stanza.
