I hate to ask this, but have you ever read any of Darian's Tale, by Mercedes Lackey and Larry Dixon? Because your story does bear a haunting resemblance . . . Thank you for your review. I'm probably going to have to post the definition on my Bio, but Windsong is basically a type of poem that is based around nature, come to me randomly and usually ends up pretty weird. I actually really liked the first few parts of Kiy, but I know what you mean by wincing when you look back - me, I either wince or try and figure out what I did then that I can't do now. -_-; I wouldn't worry about going too close to other stories people's stories - as an author, you draw on what you know, and I've seen published authors who are a little too similar to be conincidental. I'm glad you liked my poem, even though you were right - it is full of ambiguity (I have a choice between making my poems meaningless or weird. I usually choose weird.) Keep writing! |
