...It's so hard to believe that I read this five years ago.
...Even harder to believe you stopped writing it six years ago.

I spoke to you once.
But I never got the chance to say what I'm going to say now. This book...this incomplete masterpiece, is the reason I write today. I'm reading it now, and feeling this beautiful, powerful nostalgia. It's sad, and heavy, and cold, but beautiful all at once.

Because of this book, I wrote my own novel. I was inspired by this feeling. My love for Glitch flowed into my own writing, and filled me...and I finished it. I had to. I had to inspire someone, the way you inspired me, and I had to give them the ending I never had.

I'm not mad that you didn't finish it...I'm not glad, either, but I love what it's given me. I want to thank you...so. Thank you. Really. Just by writing this you've contributed a massive fulfilment to my life. I know you'll never read this; you're long gone now, but this is something I just had to say.

So here's to you, wherever you are. Whoever you are.
