Evangeline 11/28/03 . chapter 1Gorgeous poem with vivid, post-modern imagery. I adore the Lolita references, and I'm sure that you paid close attention to the prose style to produce such a lovely piece of work. Kudos! |
Ysabell47 9/2/02 . chapter 1 now this is lovely...steeped in knowledge, so much so that i dont get all the refferences - who/what is valencia? I know, i'm ignorant :P still, i know good poetry..do you like DH Lawrence? this reminds me just a little of his poetry...i like the line 'oh dear humbert, the spider, the lonely vampire', as it is a defining image of the character of Humbert Humbert, feeding off lolita's golden beauty, an image as primally and irrationally hocking as is the sight of a spider suddenly close by ones own skin. am i overanalysing that one tiny fragment? oh yes :P sorry, i just like the poem and have latched onto the one line that really spoke to me. |
unexpected source 7/25/02 . chapter 1Makes me want to bite my fist, reading it does. |
Newkirk's Heroes 7/22/02 . chapter 1God, you're so talented! I'm dying of envy here! This is entirely too beautiful. I especially liked: "something magical about barcelona and the curving spirals of gaudi’s intestines weave forever the sacred family’s strangled spyres borodin weeps on' This is amazing *thanks for the reviews!* |
