English class poetry is EVIL. I do know about, appreciate, and understand poetry. I in fact write it, and am OK to good at a couple of different forms. PLEASE stop making me write cutesy 'adjective/action' four-line rhyming poems about crying puppies! AH! (end rant.)
These are definitely not *that* bad, for English class poetry. The very last one is actually really, really *good.* But then, ballads have some opportunity for greatness, unlike most of the forms I've ever been allowed to use in English class. Meh...next time I have a 'poetry assignment,' I think I'll email my teacher my Fictionpress URL. *massively evil grin.*
