That is so sad. I'm glad someone else realises that it's NOT 'just an animal' when you lose a pet. They're precious... This is beautiful.

This is one of the best poems I ever read. It is also by far the sadest I ever saw. It brought me to tears, and continues to do so every time I read it. Cudos to the Author

This poem touched me. As a pet owner all of my life, this is scenario that I know all too well. Mournig a pet can be a long process. I still think about Merlyn, Morganna, Meagan, and Malachite to name a few.

I liked the references to the activities that the pet enjoyed. I thought that the ending was a bit haunting, like a pets' memory is to the owner. I enjoyed the poem much. Thank you Were Cat!

That moved me to tears. My beloved kitty, Billie, has to be put down after five years of being my constant companion. In a way, your writing was a release for me...in another way, it was a chilling reminder of what to expect.
