this seems to me a stark commentary on the futility of life in the face of death. I feel somewhat ignorant for not knowing who it's about. Once again, though, amazing work. I can't find anything to criticize.

Beautiful. I am surprized to find so much poetry in concentration on this website! Ive seen only 3 now, and it is delightful.
I am a Russian, and I suppose that we may be stubborn, in the context of the poem, yes.
I live in Montana though, of all the names, Green Village, very very small.
